Body Shop Extra Virgin Minerals Cream Compact Foundation Reviews
Hello beauties..!! hope you all are doing well. Summer is here and I hate summers because it makes my already oily skin oilier. But yes apart from my skin issues I got nothing to complaint about in summer you get to wear all your floral dresses and those shorts without being conscious wooooowww!!!.So as I have oily skin I am always on the lookout for products which give me a semi matte finish I hate the complete matte look.
Last week I paid visit to body shop as my tea tree toner was over, there the SA made me try this foundation and she raved about how it is creamy yet is stays matte. So I swatched it and loved it, little did I know that it was going to be a big disappointment.

Particular skin type is not mentioned on the box but the SA told me that mineral foundations can be used by all skin types
It comes in this round black case which has a small transparent space at the top which allows you to look at the shade. Inside it has two compartments, the first one consists of the product and in the second compartment is a small brush. The case opens and shuts with a click and overall it is quite travel friendly as well as user friendly. It is very compact and can totally fit in your wallet too
The compact foundation is very creamy texture wise it is kind of satiny smooth and glides like a dream if applied with fingers.

My experience with Body shop extra virgin minerals cream compact foundation
I got this last week and used it when I was going shopping with my friends. I applied it and within an hour my skin was weirdly creamy and all yuck when I tried to dab it using my tissue the foundation was all over it. I thought maybe it is summer time and as I had skipped my primer it dint stay long. So the next day just to test it I applied it when I was supposed to be home the whole day. I applied it at around 9 in the morning without any primer and it stayed semi matte till around 12 then it started getting gooey mess again. Also the shade I bought, 205 rose vanilla, was a bit light for me and it does not have any yellow undertones to it. The brush given is good but is not at all useful with this foundation you need to use your fingers to blend the product properly, the brush even after multiple strokes does not help in blending the product properly so the conclusion is
- You need a primer with it
- Need to compulsorily set it with loose powder
- Oily skinned beauties don’t even touch it
Whether I would recommend Body shop extra virgin minerals cream compact foundation?
It is a strict no for oily skinned beauties but it will suit dry skinned beauties. At this price tag there a various foundations better than this one but there is no harm in giving it a try if you are a body shop lover and if you ask me if I will ever buy it again? Then my answer is, No never and next time I visit body shop I am going to complaint the SA about it. Now maybe I will just use the product as a paper weight, totally wastage of my money.
