BON Aloe Vera Shampoo Review
How are you doing? Hope you are enjoying the chilly winds while winter is setting in. More than the weather I enjoy the fall collection that every brand introduces as winter sets in 😛
Anyways let’s get to today’s review. You all might already know the benefits of aloe vera, don’t you? I have also dedicated a post on a nice aloe vera gel that I suggest you must read without fail in case you had missed out on it. Wondering why I am talking about aloe vera in this post? Well today this post is going to be about an aloe vera shampoo that I tried out a couple of days back. After reviewing an awesome smelling body lotion from BON I am back with a review of shampoo from the same brand. Science has proved that aloe vera is very nourishing and beneficial for hair care due to its anti-bacterial and anti-oxidant characteristics. So when I got this shampoo in my order parcel I was quite excited to try it. Read on to know my experience with it.
It is infused with citrus oils and organic aloe vera extract. This Aloe Vera shampoo is an organic delight for the hair. Aloe Vera is plentiful in beneficial qualities to the hair such as hair softening, smoothening and volumizing with a light weight effect.

BON aloe vera shampoo has a packaging very similar to that of its Island Mist body lotion. The packaging is simple yet attractive. Its best suited for travelling purpose. The brand name is imprinted on the front and the mini bottle has a flip cap that regulates the outflow of the product.
It has a gel like consistency and is transparent. The output hole effortlessly controls the amount of product that is poured out hence reducing the wastage of the product. This shampoo lathers well and smells musky which according to me is pleasant and refreshing.
Pros of BON aloe vera shampoo:
- Travel sized bottle
- Free from parabens
- No harmful chemicals
- Smells musky and fresh
- Gives a nice bounce to hair
- Hair feels softer
- Lathers well
- Effectively cleanses the scalp and hair
- Easy to rinse off
Cons of BON aloe vera shampoo:
- Only available on their official website
- Makes the hair dry
My experience with BON aloe vera shampoo:
I have oily scalp and dry ends and after using this shampoo I was happy for once as it had effectively cleansed my scalp. However after my hair was air dried, I observed that it made my hair ends super dry and frizzy. So now when I use it, I make it a point to use a conditioner after it. But otherwise it did give a nice bouncy and voluminous look to my hair as claimed by the brand. Also I loved its musky fresh smell. It doesn’t stay for very long though.
Overall, it’s a nice organic shampoo to make the hair look voluminous.
I will rate it 8.5 out of 10
Will I recommend this face wash again?
Well I do recommend this product but not to the ladies with dry hair as it will only make your hair more frizzy and dry. To everybody else, this is a parabens free shampoo and won’t really harm your hair. So I suggest you can give it a try and see for yourself. Buy the smallest quantity available for trial.
