Bourjois Smoky Eyes 01 Gris Dandy Review
Today I am going to review Bourjois Smoky Eyes 01 Gris Dandy. Bourjois has always been one of my favourite make-up brands. When I saw the various shades of Smoky Eye Trios displayed on the outlet counter, I just had to pick one up! A classic smoky eye never gets old so I chose 01 Gris Dandy which has a metallic grey, a blackish grey and a gorgeous silvery highlight colour. I was positive that the colours were going to deliver the intense shades just by looking at the product. So let’s find out how it turned out to be!

They claim this palette to be a sophisticated, fail proof eyeshadow that lasts for 8 hours! The colours are contained in a modern compact case with 3 hues and a professional make-up artist’s tips at the back to help achieve the perfect smoky eye look. They promise to possess the fine quality of flexibility and softness for an ultra-fine blended formula that is silky in texture. The special double tipped applicator is designed to create outlines on the eyes. The formula respects the delicate eye areas as it is enriched with mineral powders and is dermatologically tested.
The various shades available are: Gris Dandy 01, or baroque 02, Mordorne Chic 03, Nude Ingénue 04, Rose Vintage 05, Violet Romantic 06, Bleu Rock 07, Vert Trendy 08, Lady Vert De Gris 09, Bleu Jeans 11 and Gris Lilac 12.
Direction for Use
According to the picture and description presented behind the product, we have to apply the medium grey shade all over the lid and properly blend it. Then we have to apply the darkest shade below our waterline and along the upper lash line and finish off the look by highlighting the brow bone and tear duct with the silver highlight colour.

Price & Quantity
It costs INR 865 for 4.5g and can be bought at all Bourjois outlets at major stores.
Not mentioned on the pack.
It comes in a transparent round plastic case with the shade of the hues visible from inside. Each eyeshadow is packed into little round pots and are protruding upwards. There is a small applicator sponge beside the pots placed in its special compartment. The case opens up with the help of a press button situated on the rim. The eyeshadow is protected underneath the hygienic, tight and strong packaging.
The shades are richly pigmented and finely milled. A little amount goes a long way. The lightest shade is a bit creamier than the other two darker shades. The highlight colour is very silvery and shiny. The medium lid colour is dark grey in colour with a strong hue of gunmetal in it. The darkest shades looks like coal greyish-black in the pot but is actually quite lighter. The colour can be built according to the wearer’s preference. The sponge applicator however, is very difficult to use because of the small round stem provided. The cotton itself is hard and not comfortable on the eyes.

My Experience with Bourjois Smoky Eyes- 01 Gris Dandy
Since I love dark smoky eyes, I was really excited to give this product a try. Overall, I loved the product. The pigmentation was really intense and it gave me the smoky eyes I always want. What I loved even more, was the strong gunmetal hue visible from the medium grey shade.
Whether I would recommend this product again:
You can pick out from one of the various shades available from this range. However, it is on the expensive side. But I would definitely recommend this product and I would repurchase it as well as the product lasts for years.
