In my benefits of drinking green tea post, I talked about the various health and skin benefits we achieve by drinking green tea on a regular basis. Down below are top 5 green tea face and body scrubs and mask which are very easy to make and are 100% organic. Drinking green tea has many perks but applying a green tea mask on your skin along with it boosts its power. There are several products out there in the market with green tea extracts in it but nothing beats the genuine good!

Egg yolks make hair shiny, soft and lustrous while green tea helps stimulate hair growth and helps reduce hair fall.

The ingredients are:

  • Whole eggs
  • Green tea (Tea bags are just fine)

Procedure:

Crack open eggs in a bowl and set it aside while you fill half a cup with the hot water.Dip 2 green tea bags in the water and let it brew for 5-8 minutes. Add the tea in small amounts to the eggs and mix both of them properly. The mixture will be light brown in colour. Cut open the tea bags,pour the leaves and mix everything up.

Application:

Apply the mixture to the scalp first then work your way out towards then ends. Keep the mask on for 40 minutes then rinse off with water completely before using your favourite shampoo and conditioner. Immediate results can be seen as the hair will be super soft and shining!

Ingredients:

  • Green tea leaves
  • Coconut oil
  • Lemon juice

Procedure:

To make this hair mask, you will need throw in green tea leaves in a hot pan and then add ½ of lemon juice and 3-4 tablespoons of coconut oil. Het up the mixture for 2-3 minutes then let it sit aside and cool.

Application:

Apply it on the scalp and leave it on for 45 minutes or 1 hour then wash off!

Ingredients:

  • Green tea
  • Turmeric
  • Lemon Juice

Procedure:

In a bowl, pour ½ teaspoon of squeezed lemon juice and 2 tablespoons of green tea. Add in a pinch of turmeric and mix it all together to form a consistent consistency.

Application:

Take a cotton pad and dip it into the mixture then dab it on to your skin. Repeat after 3 minutes or when the pack is completely dry. When the whole mixture is used up, leave it on for 10-15 minutes then wash off with water.

Ingredients:

  • Green tea leaves
  • Yogurt
  • Lemon Juice

Procedure:

In a bowl, take the leaves out from a used green tea bag and mix it with 2 tablespoon of plain yogurt and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice. Mix properly till everything is properly blended in.

Application:

Scoop up the mask in your fingers then apply it all over your face and neck and leave it on for 20-30 minutes, wash off with water.

Ingredients:

  • Sugar
  • Green Tea

Procedure:

Brew some green tea in a cup and keep it aside till it is not scalding hot. When the temperature is bearable, take 2 spoonful of sugar and keep on mixing it in the green tea until a soggy wet sugary texture is formed.

Application:

Use your hands or a cotton pad to scoop up the mixture and rub it all over your face and body. Gently exfoliate the skin with the mask for a few minutes then wash off with water.
