Reviews: Lotus Herbals Neemwash, Neem and Clove purifying face wash

Hello sweetyumms,

Hope you’ve been doing well these days. Festive season is almost over so it’s time to work again. Anyway I never get bored of this keyboard tapping work as I get to connect with ya’ll through it. First of all I’d like to wish my dear viewers a very happy vijaya dashami and lots of good wishes for you and your family for this upcoming diwali. May your life also glitter and all the evils vanish away.

Now it’s time to get straight into the topic. Summer is going to get over and winter season is almost knocking our door. But ladies like me, having excessive oily skin, sometimes acne prone as well, will still need some non-oily facewash that can remove the excess oil and dirt from the skin pores. So here I got something from the house of Lotus Herbals. Lotus Herbals is a brand that claims to make all its products with purely natural ingredients. My today’s product is Lotus Herbals Neemwash, Neem & Clove purifying face wash.

Lotus Herbals neemwash is a green colored gel based face wash. You can find some neem slices in the same that we neem to crush before applying the face wash on our face. It comes in a flap-topped semi-see through squeeze bottle. The product is a bit runny in consistency and you won’t actually need to squeeze the squeeze bottle to get the gel out of it.

My take on Lotus Herbals Neemwash: I’ve so far used various lotus herbal products and this one definitely doesn’t get counted on my favorites. I don’t at all like its consistency. It would be better if it would be a little less watery. Well its works nicely on oily skin, removing excess oil and dirt, but it is definitely not suitable for all skin types, like written on the bottle. Normal to dry skinned beauties will get their skin rough and dried of after using it.

Things that I liked about this product:

  • It is very soothing and refreshes the skin nicely.
  • The gel texture is too good for oily skinned beauties.
  • It is a very good cleanser that cleans up all the oil and dirt from the skin.
  • Contains anti-septic ingredients that keep skin free from acne.
  • The squeeze bottle is easy-fitted in a handbag so is easy to carry.
  • It is quite affordable.
  • It is likely to be 100% soap-free, according to lotus.

Things I didn’t like about this product:

  • This product isn’t at all for all skin types, as it won’t be suitable for beauties having normal to dry skin. It also dries off my oily skin during winter.
  • Crushing the neem slices needs effort.
  • The gel based face wash is too watery.
  • It contains paraben.

Product rating: 7 out of 10.

I would highly recommend it to oily skinned ladies, especially during hot and humid seasons. It could be better if really suitable for all skin types. Dry skin holders better stay away from it; it’ll make their skin even drier, sometimes chapped off.
