Sand for Soapaholics: What I ordered and a brief product review

Hello ladies, I am here with a combined product review of two products from a relatively new brand in Indian Skincare market called Sand for Soapaholics. Since, I keep checking out many beauty blogs, I recently got to know about a skincare brand that uses natural ingredients in their products as far as possible. I ordered two products with really interesting names called a face pack called Aam Leela and a scrub called, Namak halal. The name of these product, itself shows the Indian-ness of these and I strongly support Indian brands that are trying to grow. In most cases, these work much better than high end brands that we keep running after and are much more cost effective, too. Since a year or so, I have been making a conscious effort to buy products from Khadi, Vaadi Herbals, Kama Ayurveda Etc to support Indian economy and trust me, everyone can contribute their bit.

Let us move on to the short and crisp reviews of the both products that I ordered online. The delivery of products took nearly two to three days, decent enough..

Aam Leela face mask

I applied the aam leela face mask on clean face using my fingertips. I applied a lavishly thick layer on my face. Nearly, one tablespoon was enough for my face. It smells like Unripe mangoes/ Kacha aam that is why the name, aam leela. Probably there is a little bit of multani mitti in the face pack. I am not too sure about the contents though since they are not mentioned on the packaging. It dries up over a span of 15 to 20 minutes. It rinses of easily by massaging with plain water. Most of it gets absorbed and this face pack is really hydrating and nourishing to your skin. My skin felt soft as silk and really plump. I had stored this face pack in refrigerator for additional cooling effect on my skin. It does help a little bit with fresh tanning but not settled tan. I really like the texture and effect of this face pack on my skin.

Namak halaal Salt scrub

Another product that I got from Sand for Soapaholics is a salt scrub called Namak halal. Salt scrubs are always nice since, One, they are capable of giving a nice scrubbing effect and two, they help in improving blood circulation and flushing out of toxins from the concerned area and therefore, help in relieving sore and aching muscles, too. The base or binder of these salt particles is something Green in colour that smells like lemon. I am not sure, though as the ingredient list is missing. The scrub crystals are coarse so, can be used on elbows, knees and probably back. These are not to be used on your facial skin as these beads would be a little too much, in terms of harshness for your facial skin to handle.

Both these products come in a Golden coloured, plastic tub packaging. The tub looks somewhat like ice cream tubs from Kwality walls. I use a spatula to dispense both these products. The lid of both the products closes tightly to prevent leakage from the tubs.
