The Body Shop Color Crush eye shadow 225 Brownie and Clyde
I’m not an eye makeup person, although I own a lot of eye shadows. Reviewing an eye shadow from THE BODY SHOP for all you lovely ladies. It’s an impulse purchase from The body shop on my last visit. Khakhi eye shadows are quite in trend lately. I have been seeing them all over the blogosphere. I guess putting up a smoky look with this eye shadow wouldn’t be difficult. It’s a single khakhi colored eye shadow. There are many other delightful colors available.
Intensely pigmented, pearlescent and matt eye shadow. Has a silky soft texture. Easy to blend and buildable shade. Dermatologically tested. Suitable for contact lenses wearer.
- Gives intense color
- Has silky soft texture
- Available in pearlescent or matt finish
- Can be used wet or dry
How to use:
Take an eye shadow brush and pick up a little product with it from the pan. Now with the help of the brush apply the shadow along the length of eye lids. Blend with another shade if desired. For more intense color, repeat the application twice or thrice.
Product price and quantity:
Rs 695 for 1.5 g
2 years from date of manufacture
The packaging is the normal pan packaging. Since I love miniature packagings, I personally liked it although there’s nothing great about it. It has a transparent flip top that shuts with a click and is travel friendly. What I don’t like is no application brush is provided along with the product. Behind the eye shadow pan is given the name and shade code of the product.
It has a smooth powdery texture. I prefer the creamy ones though. The content glides but falls out on the lower eye lids. One swipe doesn’t give enough color therefore multiple swipes will be needed for an intense eye look.

Cons of The Body Shop Color Crush eye shadow 225 Brownie and Clyde:

- Makes the eye lids oily during its wear time
My experience with The Body Shop Color Crush eye shadow 225 Brownie and Clyde:
‘Brownie and Clyde’ sounds so delicious, isn’t it? The shade color is somewhat brownish and khakhi. On close observation, I found existence of minute shimmer in the product. My friend told me to try this eye shadow to create a smoky eye look. I guess it will work fine with it.
The product texture is fine. What bothers me is that it falls out during application and is trouble to get off. The little tip that I can give is, sweep the brush over the content and puff the excess powder from it and then apply it, that way the fall out would be less. The eye shadow sets well but isn’t waterproof. It can easily be worn off with a makeup remover. I also felt that this eye shadow is making my eye lid a little oily during its wear time otherwise it’s a nice product if you like eye shadows.
I will rate this eye shadow 7 out of 10
Whether I recommend this product or not:
