Top Banana Hair and Face Masks
Application of banana on skin and hair will help keep most of your beauty problems in check. They are wonderful for our skin as they have natural moisturizing properties along with minerals and vitamins such as E, B, A and C. Bananas are filled with natural oils, potassium which make them very palliative. Just by applying mashed ripe banana on your face for some time will make skin soft and moisturized. Skin is the most delicate and sensitive part of our body and hence it needs the proper ingredients to look after it and banana is one of them! From shiny hair to softer skin, banana has so much to offer than any other chemical products out there in the market. They are packed with anti-bacterial properties which help reduce acne.

Here are a few banana face masks which are easy to make and are not at all time consuming!
Banana, Honey, Yogurt and Oats Face Mask:
For this banana face masks which is perfect for dry skin and also during winter, you’ll need,
- Oatmeal – 1 tablespoon
- Honey – 1 tablespoon
- Plain yogurt – 2 tablespoon
- 1 whole Banana
- Drinking Water
Soak oatmeal overnight in water and use 1 tablespoon of it the next day for the mask. In a bowl, pour in 1 tablespoon of honey and place it in a hot water bath, wait till it turns into liquid. Mash one whole banana with a fork and mix it in with the honey. Proceed by adding the other ingredients into the mixture. Pour in small quantities of water till you achieve your preferred consistency.
On your clean face, spread the banana mask on with your fingers or any other applicator. Let it stay on for about 20 minutes then wash off with lukewarm water.
Simple Banana Mask for Sensitive, Acne Prone Skin:
It is very important to remove all the dirt and grime from your skin if you want healthy acne-free skin. To do that, we rely on face washes but they steal natural oils from our skin making it very dry. This banana face mask is easy to make and inexpensive at the same time. To make it, you’ll need:
- 1 whole ripe banana
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and add a few spoons of water to avoid the mask being too thick.
Make sure your skin is dry and clean before you apply this banana face mask on your face. Spread the mask on the skin and let it stay for 10-15 minutes then rinse off with lukewarm water.
Banana, Honey and Coconut Milk and Coconut Oil Hair Mask:
These ingredients are packed full of goodness. Each one of them has something unique to offer. Coconut oil has fatty acids which helps in hair growth and shine. Coconut milk helps boost hair volume and provides the follicles with proteins and anti-oxidants. Honey helps in lock in the natural moisture and also promote hair growth while the banana minimizes hair breakage by repairing it from deep within. They strengthen hair and helps restore hair’s natural elasticity. To make this Banana Hair Mask, you’ll need:
- Ripe bananas (depending on hair’s length)
- Coconut oil
- Coconut milk
Mash the bananas and pour in the rest of the ingredients in it. To make the consistency just right, pour in everything in a blender and blend for 30-45 seconds until there are no chunks.
Apply this banana hair mask on damp hair and leave it on for 30 minutes. Rinse off with shampoo. Hair will be super glossy, soft and nourished.
