6 Easy Home Remedies to Get Rid of Dark Circles
I am back again with an informative post for you all. I have been trying to get rid of dark circles for some months now. Exam stress and staying awake late night to complete college submissions have cursed me with dark circles. It’s truly said ‘Eyes speak more than words do’ and so keeping the eye pretty and attractive is very important.
Under eye dark circles is caused due to many reasons. Few of which are excess stress, hormonal changes, lack of sleep, disturbed and unhealthy lifestyle etc. there are a lot of products available in the market that claims to treat the dark circles. Here are the reviews of a few of them like The Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream, Garnier Light Anti-Dark Circle Eye Roll-on and Artistry Essentials Replenishing Eye Crème. But I personally before turning to these chemical products wanted to try home remedies to reduce the visibility of my dark circles. And so I did a little research about the different techniques that I can use at home and today I want to share with you all what all I found useful. So let’s move forward and see what home remedies can be used to reduce the stressful dark circles.
This is a very popular technique that people use. I did hear about it from a lot of my friends and relatives. It’s a simple method and has multiple benefits. All you need for this method is a tea bag (preferably green tea). Infuse the tea in water and enjoy the health benefits of drinking green tea. Now instead of throwing away the tea bag, put it in refrigerator for a few minutes and then put it on the eyes. Simple, isn’t it?
This is another simple and extremely beneficial remedy to reduce dark circles. All you have to do is practice yoga or meditation for a few minutes every day. This will not just reduce the under eye circles but will also benefit the mind and body by relaxing it. As we already know that stress is one of the causes for dark circles, yoga and meditation helps to eliminate stress and give peace.
Potato juice is also commonly known and tried method to get rid of dark circles. All you have to do is grate a potato and squeeze out/extract the juice from the grated potato. Now take a cotton ball and dip it in the juice until it is completely soaked with it. Place the cotton ball on closed eye and relax for 10 minutes. Now wash off the face and eyes. Practice this method regularly to see the results.

Cucumber is well known for its cooling properties. Cucumber is widely used in salons to put slices on our eyes while our face packs are on so as to cool down and relax the eyes. It helps fight puffiness and dark circles. You can either use a slice of cucumber to place on the eyes, or use its juice to soak cotton balls and then apply the cotton on the eyes. Either way it is beneficial.
Rose water is another item that gives a very soothing feel to the eyes. Rose water will instantly relax tired eyes. One should use this technique everyday to see positive results.
This is comparatively a lesser known technique to get rid of dark circles but trust me almond oil is very effective and is full of benefits. Take a drop or two of almond oil on fingers and delicately massage the area near the eyes. Do this every night and let the oil overnight and rinse it in the morning. Repeat this every night before going to sleep to see some astonishing results.
