8 Best Exercises to Reduce Double Chin

Have you made your New Year resolution yet? Most of us drop our resolutions mid way. I am one of those people. I make a resolution every year and leave it in between, so this year I have decided to not make any resolutions and just go with the flow.
Don’t we all love schemes of buy one get one free while shopping? Double of everything feels good. Double chocolate cookie, double salary but double chin, No way! Our face is obviously the first thing that describes our appearance. And having a double chin is for sure stressful and ruins the entire appearance. The sagging skin below the actual chin is termed as double chin. There can be many reasons to have attained double chin, most common of which is weight gain. There are a lot of ways to hide that sagged chin by wearing a scarf around the neck or by wearing polo/turtle neck t-shirts, but this are all temporary solutions to hide double chin. Here is a list of some easy exercises that you should perform to say bye-bye to double chin:
Tongue press

To perform this exercise sit with your back straight and stick your tongue to the top of the inner mouth. Now keeping the tongue stuck to the roof of the mouth, lower your chin without rounding the neck. Now relax the tongue and get back to the starting position. Do 2 sets of 20 repetitions each.
Tongue out
This is the simplest exercise of all. All you have to do is sit with your back straight, open your mouth wide open and stick out your tongue. Try to touch the chin with your tongue and hold this position while you count till 10. Repeat this exercise 10 times.

Chin lift

This is a very popular double chin exercise. While sitting with your back and neck straight raise your face upwards towards the ceiling and make a pouting face. Exaggerate the kissing position as far as you can and hold it till the count of 10 seconds. Repeat it 10 times.
Neck roll

This is a very basic exercise that we all know of. Keep the back and spine erect and roll the neck clockwise and anti-clockwise 10 times each. Make sure that the spine stays erect during the exercise.
Fish face
As the name suggests, in this exercise you have to make a face like that of a fish. Simply suck the lips and cheeks inwards and try to smile. Hold this position for at least 0 seconds and then relax and repeat it 10 more times.

Hanging head

you will need to lie down on your bed to perform this exercise. Keep the head hanging over the edge of the bed and now lift the chin upwards towards the chest. Hold the position for 10 seconds and then slowly relax. Repeat this 10 times.
The O
Tilt your head upwards towards the ceiling. Now keep the lips closed and form an ‘O’ shape. Hole it till the count of 15 and relax. Repeat 10 more reps.

It is important to keep the jaw and cheek muscle working and what is better than chewing a gum? Pick up a sugar free chewing gum and chew several of them during the day.
