Bourjois Effet 3D MAX Gloss Prune Exquisite Review
Today I am going to review Bourjois Effet 3D MAX Gloss- Prune Exquisite. I have always had a love-hate relationship with lip glosses. Some are too sticky, some very runny. Some heavily pigmented and some not pigmented at all. So I bought this Bourjois lip gloss because I got a really good deal on it and I really wanted to give this shade, Prune Exquisite a try. Let’s see how it turned out to be.
You can read my recent review of Bourjois Smoky Eyes 01 Gris Dandy here….
They claim to be a paraben free formula in a new sleek packaging with a variety of new shades. It contains 92% of nourishing and hydrating protective agents for a real lip balm action while it is enriched with micro crystalline components for a really rich, ultra-shiny, voluminous result. The brush is specially designed to provide an easier and precise application. We can now treat our lips to a historic 3 dimensional volume for a super plumped and glossy look while keeping them moisturized and hydrated for up to 8 hours.
Direction for Use
Dip the applicator into the liquid and then glide it on your lips. The colour is buildable so reapply as needed.
Best before 3 years from the date of manufacture
Price & Quantity
It costs INR 850 for 6.5 ml and can be bought from all Bourjois outlets at major stores.
(N/A); Can be suitable for all skin types. Do a patch test first before purchasing in case you have sensitive, highly reactive skin type.
The product comes in a long, slender curvy plastic tube which has the colour of the product inside. It is not very pretty or attractive but it is travel friendly and easy to use. It has a twist open cap with a long stem attached to it. The applicator sponge is flat and curved on the tip. The writings on the packaging is in silver and easy to read.
The gloss is very richly pigmented and thick. It feels a little heavy on the lips as well. It has a sticky, gooey consistency which may feel uncomfortable on the lips. It has a very strong sweet floral fragrance. There are glitters in the gloss as well. It is very soft and smooth and glides beautifully on the lips. The colour settles in after a while. It had a long staying power then leaves a subtle hue on the lips.

My Experience with Bourjois Effet 3D MAX Gloss Prune Exquisite
I really liked the rich pigmentation I got from this product. However, this product was a miss for me as I didn’t like its gooey consistency. It felt wet on my lips and I constantly had the urge to rub it off my lips. It was very pricey but I got it in discount. I hardly use this product because of how it feels on the lips. As I tried to build up the colour, the stickier and heavier it became.
Whether I would recommend this product again:
I would not recommend this product at all. It is heavily priced and there are much better products available in the market for lesser price and provide a better performance.
