Eau Thermale Avene D-Pigment Light Dark spot Lightener Reviews
How are you doing today? I am going to aware you of a product that I think you must avoid using to not face any skin issues. I hope you are reading this review before buying this product, or if you have bought it already I suggest you do a patch test so that you don’t spoil your entire face like I did. Eau Thermale Avene is quite a known brand to us all I guess. It’s an overseas brand which attained quite some popularity in our country too. I tried a sample of one of its product called D Pigment spot lightener and was disgusted with its results. Read on to know my terrible experience with it.
Product price and quantity:
INR 1350 for 30 ml
The mini tube came in a little white cardboard box which has a lot of information on it. Inside was a mini white tube which was quite adorable. The output nozzle was tiny and best to control the quantity to be oozed out. The cap of the tube is white and twists up. Overall, I liked the packaging of this travel friendly sample pack.
It has a creamy texture. The cream is pale yellow in color and smells weird. Just a little quantity is needed. The cream takes around 10 minutes to get absorbed in the skin.
Pros of Eau Thermale Avene D-Pigment Light Dark spot Lightener:
- The texture is smooth like a cream
- Packaging is rich
- The cream is easily absorbed in the skin
Cons of Eau Thermale Avene D-Pigment Light Dark spot Lightener:
- Very harsh on skin
- Makes the skin itchy
- Causes irritation and rashes on the face
- Not easily available in stores
- Quite pricey I must say
- Causes breakout on the face
- Smells weird. I can relate its smell to that of alcohol. However, thank God that it isn’t much overpowering.
My experience with Eau Thermale Avene D-Pigment Light Dark spot Lightener:
Well I have tried this product some 3-4 times hoping to not see a negative reaction every time I use it, but it disappointed me all the times. The first time I used, my face became red and felt itchy. I thought to give it a try once more the next day to check if it was this product only. The next day also my skin felt itchy and reddish. I took a break from this product and waited for my skin to calm down to its normal conditions and decided to re-test this cream. I usually don’t experience breakouts’ too soon but the next morning I woke up to a face with popped up acnes. I was so mad at the cream.
The instructions say that you must leave the cream for around 4 to 5 hours and so night is the best time to use it. But applying this cream in the night makes my face a nightmare in the morning. I am so not going to try this again. I feel the cream is harsh on the skin. However, it is so possible that it did not suit my skin but may suit other beauties and work well for them. But if you are looking forward to trying this one, do take a patch test first to ensure that it won’t cause any damage to your skin.
For me it did not work well and therefore I will rate it a poor 4 out of 10
Will I recommend this product again?
No. Absolutely no. If you have read the above details you sure by now know that it’s not the right cream for people with sensitive skin. So better give this one a miss. However if you still want to take a risk and try it out for yourself, I suggest you do a patch test first.
