Elle 18 kajal Reviews
Hello lovely ladies.
Happy Thursday to all. Unlike most of the times that I review lip products, today I’m going to review a kajal from Elle 18. Elle 18 is a known brand that provides pocket friendly products. It’s more popular amongst the college students. I have used quite some products from this brand too and this was the most disappointing of them all. Read on to know why I am warning you against this inexpensive kajal.
A must-have kajal in every makeup-kit. Rich black color that will last all day long. This kajal will give you well defined eyes with a smooth finish. Enriched with almond oils, it’s gentle on eyes. Also suitable for the most sensitive eyes.
Product price and quantity:
INR 65 for 3 ml
30 months from pkd.
The packaging is average. This kajal comes in a cone shaped stored in a twist up plastic case. Like most other Elle 18 products, there’s an imprint of a lady on the outer packaging. The biggest drawback of the packaging is that it doesn’t come sealed or in a box. Also, the cover of the kajal is loose which makes me doubt it to carry along during travelling.
The texture of this kajal is fine. Glides easily and can be used to highlight the waterline. No tugging is required because of its creamy and smooth texture. One swipe is enough to deposit high coverage.
Pros of Elle 18 kajal:
- Available at a pocket friendly price
- Easily available at local stores
- Retractable kajal, so no wastage of product
- Highly pigmented
- Silky smooth texture
- No tugging required
- Appropriate to create a smoky eye look
- Easy to wear off
- Doesn’t irritate eyes
- Glossy finish
Cons of Elle 18 kajal:
- Low stay power
- Easily smudge-able
- Not very travel friendly
- Average packaging
My experience with Elle 18 kajal:
Well, I have a love-hate relation with this kajal. I am not very impressed with this one. It’s an average product. Firstly I find the packaging to be a little cheap. I don’t like buying cosmetics without a seal but since this was dirt cheap, I made a purchase. It’s a retractable kajal and therefore there will be no product wastage which is a good point.
As far as pigmentation is concerned, it’s highly pigmented. One swipe gives enough color on the waterline or the eye lids. It is dark black in shade. Due to its creamy texture, it glides easily over the lids without any tugging. It doesn’t irritate eyes nor hurt them. The kajal is shimmer free but has a glossy finish to it.
The stay time of this kajal is very short. It lasts only for like 2 to 3 hours after which it fades. I like smudge proof kajal but unfortunately this one smudge way too easily, making the eyes look messy. Although I feel that this can be an appropriate kajal to create a smoky eye look. It doesn’t require a special makeup remover to get it off the eyes. It’s easily removable with our regular face wash.
Overall, it’s an average kajal at a pocket friendly price.
I will rate this kajal an average 6 out of 10.
Will I recommend this again?
I don’t highly recommend it to all you beauties. If you are tight on budget, you can proceed with buying this kajal but don’t expect too much from it. Otherwise, better options are available in the market if budget is not a problem to you.
