Karen Murrell lipstick Review : Lavender laughter!!
Hi all.. How are you all doing, dearies? Just like any makeup lover, I also own a lot of lip colours but not many shades belonging to the purple family. I do have a couple of numbers in Mauve. I really wanted to try something in Lavender shade but sadly, not a lot of brands offer lip sticks in lavender so after a lot of searching online, I ordered this lipstick from K.M cosmetics that has a shade name instead of a shade number. The range is named ” Nothing nasty touches my lips” and the shade is called “lavender laughter”. This line of lipsticks was launched by famous makeup artist, Karen Murrell. You can see the initials K.M On the packaging. The big hype about K.M line pf lipsticks is that they are made out of organic ingredients are vegetarian and are free from parabens.
Karen Murrell lipsticks are made out of natural and organic ingredients. These are free from harsh chemicals and are not tested on animals. Most lipsticks from this range are in soft, pastel shades and are well pigmented. These have a long wear formula..
Organic ingredients, pigments, primrose oil
Directions for use
Apply on clean, moisturized lips directly from the bullet or using a lipstick brush.
INR 1,830.46 or NZD for 4 grams.
This lipstick comes in a Black colored, plastic packaging. It comes in a twist up format like all usual lipsticks. The tap closes tight enough for the product to be carried around safely.
The texture of this lipstick is quite creamy and it glides on my lips easily. It would be great if you wear a lip balm below this but this is not at all a compulsion. Apply three to four strokes for an opaque colour that feels light and comfortable to wear.

Cons of Karen Murrell lipstick : Lavender laughter
This particular shade is not suitable for most Indian skin tones. It would suit only fair skin tones.
My experience with Karen Murrell lipstick : Lavender laughter
These Karen Murrell lipsticks come mostly in pastel shades. This particular number is a light lavender. It looks really milky or creamy in appearance. To my surprise, this shade has an excellent colour pay off and gets opaque on lips in nearly 3 swipes. I have slightly pigmented lips and this lipstick covers them up quite decently. It sets in a creamy-matte finish. It has a good, hydrating texture and is quite convenient to wear for a long time.
Every coin has two sides. The downside of this product is that, it settles into fine lines on your lips. Secondly, it has quite a synthetic smell that I do not like much but it is still, tolerable. Lastly, this Lavender shade does not suit me much. It might look better on somebody with a very fair complexion. On me, it turned out to be a flop since, it makes my complexion appear darker by at least two to three tones. Anyways, there is nothing wrong about the lipstick. It is just a wrong choice of shade on my part.
Whether I would recommend this product again?
Yes, it is a good lipstick with nothing majorly wrong with it. Only, this shade is not meant for Indian skin tones. The price is a little on the higher side but then the quality justifies it.
