Lord and Berry stardust Loose eyeshadow in Dark Black Review
With this post I complete a milestone of 100 reviews on MakeupEra. MakeupEra has been a very important part in my life for these last few months. The team has been very supportive and understanding and I take this chance to thank the owner, co-writers and of course my lovely readers. I look forward to keep providing all of you with my true experiences with different products.
I just got back yesterday from my holidays in Goa. I have been to Goa a lot of times but indeed this one was the best as we had opted to stay in an amazing resort at Baga which provided lovely beach cottages for a comfortable stay. Do tell me in the comment box where had you been for the holidays. Talking about today’s product review, in this post I am reviewing a black powder eye shadow. Yes powder eye shadows are the talk of the town now-a-days but a black eye shadow is a new concept. I had received this one in a subscription bag some months ago but since I don’t use eye shadows much, I had completely forgotten to put up with its review. Also this is the first product that I used from brand house Lord and berry.

It’s a highly concentrated loose color powder that will saturate eyelids with a wash of matte/shimmer. Press around the eyelid for a subtle veil of color or layer on for stronger effect.

The eye shadow comes stored in a very mini round container with a black screw cap that has the brand name written on top. Inside the cap there is a holed partition through which the product can be taken out. No application brush has been provided with the packaging. Its packaging style reminds me of that of Bobbi Brown.
It has a soft powdery texture which tends to fall out a bit during application. The pigmentation is average but the eye shadow blends very well on the lids when applied over primer.
Pros of Lord and Berry stardust loose eyeshadow in Dark Black:
- Mini packaging. Can be easily carried in tiniest of bags.
- Makes the whole smoky eye application easy
- Good for night makeup
- Can be used to create a gothy look
- Blends well
Cons of Lord and Berry stardust loose eyeshadow in Dark Black:
- No application brush is provided
- Not readily available in the market
- The pigmentation is low
- Stay period is average
- Does fall out on cheeks during application
My experience with Lord and Berry stardust loose eyeshadow in Dark Black:
Well Lord and berry is a new brand to me. I haven’t heard about this brand from people so far. Looks like it isn’t made popular until now. I am serious bad at my eye makeup. I don’t really play around with eye shadows and stick to my simple pink eye shadow every time I have to apply some. However this eye shadow is very helpful in creating smoky eye look. It blends nicely though the pigmentation is a little poor. It took quite some tries for me to get the application right.
I will rate it 7.5 out of 10
Will I recommend it again?
If you are somebody who likes to play with smoky eyes then yes I recommend it to you. But if you like to stick to our conventional kajal/eye liner then no use investing on this black eye shadow.
Until next time,
Stay beautiful. xoxo.
