Maybelline Diamond Glow Eye Shadow Palette Reviews
A very Ho- Ho Christmas week to every reader here,
In another day, it’ll be Christmas Eve, a day of joy for everyone irrespective of religion and caste. A day when people get together to celebrate this joyous occasion. Most people have different ways to celebrate occasions. Some tend to give more while some tend to go on shopping sprees. I came across this product, Maybelline Diamond Glow Eye Shadow Palette at an online sale and decided to give it a try due to its array of eclectic shades starting from a pale Peach, a subtle shade of Pink, a rich Plum and finally a delicious Coffee Brown. This case has been aptly named the ‘Wine Pink’ due to its available shades. I bought this product for the occasion of my older cousin’s marriage which is in a month and so decided to try out a few products to see which of them would stay on for a longer period of time without wearing off.

Product Description:
The Maybelline Diamond Glow Eye Shadow Palette claims to make your eyes glow like a luxurious pearl, giving you a rich and sophisticated finish that stays on for a long time.
How to Use:
Get the required makeup in place before you decide to apply the eyeshadow or even use a good primer to make them stay longer. Now, the instructions for use are stated at the back of the pack which gives a clear idea on how the colors can be used. However, feel free to mix it up and play with them a little bit because in the end, the liking it entirely up to you. The lightest shade is applied towards the entire region above the lashes and below your eyebrow. This is the Highlight Color. The Medium colors which are a little darker can be used over the highlight color over the Upper medium lid and the Lower medium lid. Then use the darkest color, the Accent Color on the edge of your upper lashes to bring out the richness of that color. Use the double sided brush according to the amount of color that you might like to apply.

Shelf Life:
3 years.
Price:
Rs. 350 for 2.5g
Packaging:
The Maybelline Diamond Glow Eye Shadow Palette comes in a rectangular case which isn’t too sturdy. So you might want to reconsider before you decide to carry it around. It consists of a solid double sided brush, one thicker and one smaller, for applying the eye shadow. The four colors are present one after the other in a single row inside the case.

Texture:
The texture of the Maybelline Diamond Glow Eye Shadow Palette was more powdery than creamy so you might need to expect a slight fall off problem. It stayed on the eyelids however for a considerable period of time even without the use of a proper primer so extra brownie points for that one. The colors provided an end result with a good finish coated with an extra shine. The intensity i.e the pigmentation of the colors was completely unsatisfactory since I love applying colors that have a rich, thick appearance to them.
Key Ingredients :
Ingredients have not been mentioned in the pack.
Pros of Maybelline Diamond Glow Eye Shadow Palette.
- Gives a solid matte finish with a shot of glitter.
- Lasts for a considerable duration of time.
- The sponge applicator was very handy.
- Easy to use and apply.
- Love the shade of colors that came in the pack .
Cons of Maybelline Diamond Glow Eye Shadow Palette.
- A bit pricey if you ask me.
- The intensity of the pigmentation was very weak.
- Not travel friendly at all since the packaging isn’t very strong.
My experience with Maybelline Diamond Glow Eye Shadow Palette.
The Maybelline Diamond Glow Eye Shadow Palette was borderline tolerable for me. I began to use It for more of a regular everyday purpose instead of special occasions since the color wasn’t bright enough and didn’t really last for too long either because it eventually began to wear off. The shades are pretty but I might go for a case with a more wider choice of colors because four colors which are quite similar to each other at this price is certainly outrageous in my book.

Rating:
7/10
Recommendation:
Not really sure I’ll be repurchasing this even though I absolutely love the shades. Maybe a different set of colors is in order for the next trial.
