Hello Girls… 🙂
Lotus Herbals Safe Sun Intensive Sun Block Spray
What it is:
A sun screen that has finally been put out in spray form! No more of those pesky lotions and their greasiness.
The product comes in a plastic pressurized canister that is surprisingly light and compact, meaning it’s very easy to carry in purses and small vanity bags. And you’ll need to carry it with you, because it needs to be re applied frequently, as the label on the back says. It has no noticeable fragrance which is a good thing because it won’t interfere with any perfume you use.
Why it claims it is good?
Melanomas are primarily caused due to over exposure to the sun’s rays during one’s life time. This can be reduced to a large extent by the use of sunscreen whenever you can. This is where Safe Sun comes in.
Safe Sun promises superior protection from the harmful rays of the sun, namely UVA and UVB radiation. It has an SPF of 50 which is ideal for conditions in countries such as ours.
Contains extracts ofchamomile, sage and thyme which are naturally active ingredients.
Sage is the part which shields you from the UV radiation. Chamomile is a natural moisturizer, and has anti-inflammatory properties which are good for sensitive skin while Thyme is instrumental in protecting your skin from environmental damage. It has antiseptic capability too.
It is sweat proof as well as water proof, so it won’t wash off in rain.
It gets absorbed by the skin very quickly, and does not cause oiliness or greasiness for most skin types.
Is it actually that good? (Pros)
It almost is. There are no complaints about its spray which is as good as ever, even though it has slightly gel like consistency. However for optimum protection you have to reapply it every 3 hours, because it evaporates by then. Its only real problem is that it doesn’t stop tanning as much as you’d want it to.
Its non-greasy, non-oily qualities are intact, except for when you have very oily skin. You won’t be able escape stickiness then. It can darken you skin tone a bit, but that can be easily fixed with a little make up.
Cons
Its SPF 50 is a bit doubtful, because other brands like Neutrogena SPF 50 offer better results at the same SPF. However it is cheaper than the others at 315 for 80 ml.

Would I buy it again?
Yes, definitely. It genuinely has no real cons plus its ease of application and on the go capability is very useful for people who have to work in the sun. And it’s suitable for men as well as women.
