The Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Moisture Lotion Review
Today I’ll be reviewing The Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Moisture Lotion SPF 15. This is an old product from The Body Shop but is still doing the rounds in the stores. I have a combination skin and I also have severe acne so the salesgirl suggested this product to me. I picked it up as my experience with The Body Shop products has generally been good.
It is an oil free, non-clogging, cooling and hydrating moisturizing lotion with SPF 15. It controls excessive shine and sebum and delivers required moisture to the skin. It comes in a small blue squeeze tube with a flip cap. The cap is tight and sturdy with no fear of leakage.
Direction for Use
It is a very simple to use product. Just clean your face and apply it on the face and neck with your finger tips. You can use it in the morning or whenever you step out of the house. In case it gets in contact with eyes just rinse it with cold water.
Price & Quantity
Rs 1295 for 50 ML. The quantity is sufficient and would last for at least 2-3 months if you use it just once or twice a day. It would be better if you use it twice a day.
The product is good for combination/oily skin. For dry skin, I don’t think it would be a good option.
The product is packed in a small plastic tube which is aqua blue in color and has a sturdy flip cap. It has a striped pattern. The packaging of the product is very simple. The cap closes tight and can be carried anywhere easily.
The texture of this lotion is just like any other lotion. It is white in color and takes 2 to 3 minutes to absorb in the skin. It makes the face glow like anything in those minutes.

My Experience with The Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Moisture Lotion
Out of all the SPF lotions which claim to protect the skin from the sun, I think this does the best job with just SPF 15. I do not have to put on a sunscreen after applying this lotion. Thus, it works as a 2 in 1 lotion. It does takes a little longer to go inside the skin but once it is totally absorbed in the skin I don’t really have to fear about the sun.
Whether I would recommend this product again:
Yes I would recommend it to others. People who have combination to oily skin can try it. It is a perfect sun protector and also gives a glow to the skin.
