The Body Shop Shea Whip Body Lotion Review
Hey beautiful damsels..!! Just like most of the authors, here at makeupera, I too grow weak in the knees when it comes to The Body Shop and MAC products. I keep checking the TBS online store every now and then to check out the latest ranges and discount offers running. On my last visit to their store, I picked up the Shea Whip body lotion in a pack of 250 ml. I have been using it since 15 days now and it felt like the right time to review this product for you guys. Read on below to know more…
Did you read about Aromatic Spa Conditioning Serum
The Shea whip is light in consistency and has a quick-absorbing formula and is non-greasy in nature. It’s rich formula leaves your skin velvety soft and well moisturized.
The TBS Community Fair Trade shea butter comes right from mainland Ghana. TBS Shea body lotion is made by local women who harvest shea nuts, dry them under the sun and then manually crack them to extract the kernels which are then roasted to form into a paste to extract Shea butter.
Rs.245/- for 60ml
Rs. 695 for 250 ml
The 60ml packaging consists of a transparent plastic bottle. It has a tightly closing flip-flop cap that makes the product leak proof. The 250 ml comes with a pump dispenser.
The consistency is like that of a thick, body cream that manages to spread easily and absorb quickly.

My Experience of The Body Shop Shea Whip Body Lotion:
This is my second lotion from TBS after the Strawberry one which I had been using on and off throughout last winters. Now, as the weather is slightly shifting it’s mood, my skin demands some extra moisture so, investing in a quality body lotion seemed like a good idea. I was a bit tired of the sweet Strawberry smell and wanted something more subtle to try.
Texture, as explained above is thick but formula is quick absorb so does not make my skin feel greasy. It removes all traces of dryness and flakiness from skin. I need almost a coin sized dollop of this Shea lotion for one arm. One bottle for me lasts nearly 2 months if I use it daily. The fragrance is warm and woody but not over the top. The moisturization effect lasts for quite long say, 3 to 4 hours.
Will I recommend this product again?
Yes, If you like Shea smell and your skin type is dry, you should give this thing a try once. I like it more than the previous Strawberry body lotion due to it’s warm smell.
