Anyway talking about today’s post, I am going to tell you some tips to avoid bad breath. Halitosis commonly known as bad breath is a very embarrassing situation for everybody. Nobody likes to be told that they smell stale when they talk to us. People run away from you if you have bad breath. In the morning when we leave house for work or college we often use the hand technique to check if we have bad breath, but no more. Follow the following tips to avoid bad breath.

Brush, Floss, Rinse and Scrape
It is of utmost importance that you keep your mouth clean. Use good smelling toothpaste and brush your teeth at least twice a day as suggested by most dentists around the world. Also don’t forget to floss the teeth so as to remove plague from between teeth. Rinse the mouth with a mouth wash. After all this steps people often avoid scraping the tongue. But it is very important to scrape tongue as bacteria often loves to settle their. Following this standard brushing and cleaning technique everyday will gradually eradicate bad breath and you no more have to worry about carrying a mouth spray everywhere.

Drink Enough Water
Our mouth stinks the most in the morning and our mouth is dry for the entire night. Secreting enough saliva will reduce bad breath as saliva is a natural cleanser of oral cavity. So drink enough water throughout the day and avoid sugary drinks. Also keep your mouth hydrated during the night by having water in intervals or when you wake up in between the night.

This is quite an old technique to get rid of bad breath. Always keep a chewing gum or two handy in the purse. Select chewing gums which are sugar-free and which gives freshness to the mouth. Chewing gums with Cinnamon and mint flavor can be a good choice. Prefer chewing gums that contain Xylitol which is a good substitute of sugar and prevents replicating of bacteria in the mouth.

Watch your Food
Avoid including food that gives you stale smell. Garlic, onion, leeks are a few items that leave behind a strong aroma in the mouth and you are left with bad breath for long hours. However this food items are also beneficial to body so limit the use of it or combine them with other food items instead of completely eliminating them from the diet so as to avoid the pungent smell.
