Top 5 Masks Using Papaya

In my Benefits of Papaya post, I talked about the top 5 benefits of incorporating papayas in our diet on a regular basis. There are several other benefits of having papayas everyday but did you know that you can also use this lovely nutritious fruit as your face mask everyday to get that lovely blemish, acne free skin? Mixing papayas with other lovely ingredients boosts its powers and provides much greater and several other benefits. The fruit can be used by simply mashing it up as it is very soft and a smooth texture is easily formed.

So without further delay, let’s talk about the Top 5 masks using papayas:
Papaya Mask with Honey and Lemon for Skin Brightening

A rich source of anti-oxidants, papaya and its other wonderful enzymes helps remove dry and dead skin cells and reveals the bright glowing skin hidden beneath. This mask is very easy to make, here’s how!
Ingredients
- ½ Ripe Papaya fruit (seedless)
- ½ Teaspoon Honey
- ½ teaspoon Lemon
Method
Use a blender or just a fork to squash the papaya fruit into a smooth pulp. Squeeze out the lemon and remove the pips from it. Pour it into the pulp and mix everything together. Follow by adding ½ teaspoon of honey in the mixture until properly blended.

Application
On your clean face use a brush or just your fingers to apply the mask evenly on your face and avoid the eye areas. Keep it on for 15-20 minutes then wash off with cold water and follow by applying your favourite moisturizer to lock in all the moisture.
Papaya Mask with Cucumbers and Bananas for Hydration

The cooling properties of cucumbers mixed with the moisturizing bananas and papayas make an amazing mask which helps the skin look youthful, hydrated and dewy.
Ingredients
- ¼ Papaya Pulp
- ¼ Cucumber pulp and juice
- ½ Ripe Banana
Method
In a clean bowl, pour in the papaya pulp which can be mashed with a blender or fork. Mix the pulp with ½ mashed banana pulp and Cucumber juice and pulp until everything is blended in properly.

Application
On your clean face, take a scoopful of the pulp in your hand and gently apply it on your face and leave it on for 20-30 minutes. Wash off with lukewarm water. Apply your favourite moisturizer to lock in all the moisture and goodness.
Papaya Mask with Pineapples for Natural Skin Bleaching

Packed with lovely enzymes when pineapples are paired up with papayas, the results are amazing and wonderful.
Ingredients
- ¼ Papaya pulp
- ½ Pineapple pulp
- ½ Tablespoon Honey
Method
In a bowl, mix the fruit pulp with ½ tablespoon of honey and mix it well.
Application
Clean your face and pat it dry. Follow by applying the mask on your face and neck. Leave it on for 30 minutes so that your skin can absorb all the goodness. Wash off with cold water.
Papaya and Turmeric Mask

The wonderful antibacterial properties of turmeric and the anti-oxidant properties of the papayas are a wonderful combo for the skin.

Ingredients
- Papaya Pulp
- Pinches of Turmeric
Method
In a bowl, mix the papaya pulp with pinches of turmeric powder.
Application
Apply the mask on your face and leave it on for 20 minutes. Wash off with cold water then proceed to moisturize the face.
Papaya and Gram Flour Mask

The final mask in our list is quick and easy to make and has the combination of various ingredients, wonderful for our skin
Ingredients
- Papaya Pulp
- Gram Flour
- ½ teaspoon of Honey
- Pinches of Turmeric
- 1 or ½ of Banana Pulp
Method
In a bowl, mix all the ingredients, mentioned above together until everything is properly blended.
Application
Apply the face mask on your face and neck and leave it on for 30 minutes to allow the skin to suck all the richness. Wash off with cold water and apply your favourite moisturizer.

The post is amazing!! Nice face packs….but I just love papaya, so I would rather eat it instead of applying it…..so it can work from inside.
