ULTA Baked Eye Shadow in Sweet Dreams Review
How is everyone doing? I have a lot of eye shadows stocked up and the one I’m going to be talking about today is from the brand ULTA. Off late, I have noticed that my vanity has a lot of ULTA make-up and I thought I really had to review some of the products and let everyone know if they should invest money in it, even though it is a drugstore brand, you should definitely make wise choices. So, let’s go ahead and find out if the ULTA baked eye shadow in sweet dreams is worth purchasing or not;

The ULTA baked eye shadow in sweet dreams is priced at 8 USD.
Formula is baked instead of pressed which makes for an ultra-smooth application. Baked also allows the product to be used wet or dry. When using dry, provides traditional eye shadow color to lids. When using wet, it increases the color payoff for a more dramatic look and it also increases its staying power. Coordinated duo shades take the guesswork out of your application.
The ULTA baked eye shadow is neatly packed in a dual-toned palette, with a black base and a transparent lid, with the brand name engraved on the front while the shade name is engraved on the back. I’m not really a big fan of the packaging merely for the fact that it’s too flimsy and tends to break on dropping. Definitely not durable!
The texture of the ULTA baked eye shadow in sweet dreams is pretty decent; one side containing the pink color is a lot smoother than the other marbleized side. It tends to look chalky if gone overboard!
Pros of the ULTA baked eye shadow in sweet dreams
- Pretty colors
- Decent texture
- Applies evenly if not gone overboard
- Good for no-make up looks
- Works better as highlighter
Cons of the ULTA baked eye shadow in sweet dreams
- Flimsy packaging
- Tends to break
- Colors do not show up on the lid
- Below average pigmentation
- May look chalky if used in excess
- Requires a lot of hardwork to make the colors show up on the lid
- Staying power is worse!
My Experience with the ULTA baked eye shadow in sweet dreams
The colors of the ULTA baked eye shadow in sweet dreams are beautiful, the shadows come in a nice dual form, with one side containing a very pretty baby pink color that is shimmery while the other side has a more brown toned pinkish purple- green color, that looks more marbleized, it looks super pretty sitting there in the pan, as the blend appears and applies pretty evenly! The colors are too light to be used as eye shadows, and do not show up on the lid like they are meant to. The pigmentation of the ULTA baked eye shadow in sweet dreams is too disappointing for me, because I really wanted to use the shimmery pink for night looks! It’s good for that no-makeup look, because they are as good as nothing on the eye lids! I prefer to use this like a highlight, as it gives a beautiful sheen on the high points of my face! You can build the colors up, but that’s a lot of hard work to make the colors stand out! Overall, I am not very happy with the ULTA baked eye shadow in sweet dreams. The staying power is below average as well, as it tends to wash away in as less as two hours!
Whether I would recommend this product to others?
Definitely not! It’s not worth spending money on!
